Susan Zabriskie was initiated at Theta Chapter at the University of Michigan, where she earned her degree in Economics. From there, she worked at Ameritech Corporation, eventually stepping into the Ameritech Institution, where she was the vice president responsible for cultural change and leadership development.
She left that position to become the executive director of Alpha Phi, then later serving in the same capacity for the Foundation. She had always been a committed volunteer, particularly to organizations that support women. She is especially interested in the Women’s Heart Health Program.
She viewed her work with the Foundation as an extension of her experience in Alpha Phi. “Alpha Phi and the long-term friendships it has given me are a big part of my life,” she says, “I want to honor everything I have received from my membership. My passion for contributing to this is boundless.”
She continues to meet with some of her sisters every summer in upper Michigan, where they play golf and enjoy each other’s company.
