Lollipop Brigade
Lollipop sales have long been a staple of Alpha Phi philanthropy. In the 1970s, Ann Arbor alumnae sold lollipops to fundraise for cardiac care. This article highlights lollipop sales ahead of Valentine's Day. They raised $400 in 1973, $600 in 1974, and $1,000 in 1975. Proceeds were donated to St. Joseph's Hospital for the purchase of cardiac equipment, including an audiovisual set for educating heart patients in 1975.
