A second severe fire causes over $100,000 worth of damage to the campus, destroying the library collection and a museum with valuable specimens of rare and extinct animals. Fundraising conducted to rebuild after the fire allows Indiana University to begin construction on the first two buildings of a new, larger campus, Wylie Hall and Owen Hall.
