Petition to Alpha Phi
Ina Gittings was instrumental in helping Delta Delta attract the attention of Alpha Phi. In 1924, she sent a letter of support, in which she stated that "the Delta Deltas were Alpha Phi material and, furthermore, that the University of Arizona was a definitely favorable institution in which to install an Alpha Phi chapter." Delta Delta sent a formal petition to Alpha Phi in the spring of 1925, and they received news of its acceptance later that year, as a "glorious Christmas present."
