Support From an Alumna: Ina E. Gittings
Delta Delta attracted the attention of local Alpha Phi alumnae, including Ina E. Gittings (Nu-Nebraska). Gittings, the first woman to be photographed pole vaulting, had joined the faculty of the University of Arizona as the first director of physical education for women in 1920. She was impressed with the group's high standards and dedication and became a lifelong supporter of Delta Delta, and later, Beta Epsilon Chapter.
