Delta Delta Founders Initiated
When Beta Epsilon Chapter was installed in 1926, two of the founders of Delta Delta Local Sorority had already graduated: Louise Gambrell Jones and Ruth Bonham Jones. In March 1940, Alpha Phi welcomed both women into Beta Epsilon Chapter as alumnae initiates. Louise was Delta Delta's first president and, later, the wife of Louisiana Governor Sam Houston Jones.
