Heart Balls

Today, Beta Gamma Chapter's major philanthropic project is the Red Dress Gala, for which the chapter partners with the American Heart Association to raise money for women's cardiac care. Long before this signature Alpha Phi event, however, the chapter held an annual Heart Ball. Often held at a local country club, Heart Balls featured a dinner and dance. In 1960, tickets cost $11 per couple.
