Mary Parry
Mary Freda Parry was Delta Mu Chapter's first official housemother, a role she held from 1964–1970. She set a precedent for long-serving housemothers at Delta Mu. It was during Parry's time at Purdue that Alpha Phi established the Housemothers Association. As explained in the Spring 1967 issue of the Quarterly, a housemother is an important source of stability and continuity for a chapter and someone who models experience and maturity to influence the members' lives.
